Tens of thousands of web sites could be infected with as has been described by Google researchers as “drive by” downloads of malicious code. Drive-by downloads are an increasingly common way to infect a computer or steal sensitive information. The majority of such Web sites install malicious software on the PCs by making use of the vulnerabilities present in Internet Explorer.
